Karuna Training - Introductory Programs

These weekend programs offer a careful and thorough introduction into the fundamentals of contemplative psychology. They are particularly suitable for people working professionally in medicine, health or palliative care or therapy, as well as people who work with others a lot in their lives, including social workers, teachers, educators, and parents.

An introductory weekend consists of a number of talks by the program directors, introduction to meditation practice, discussion groups, individual interviews and group process work to contemplate the presented material.

The program directors are individuals who have typically more than 10-15 years experience in contemplative psychology, buddhist meditation and therapeutic processes. They are assisted by assistants who help guide the process work.

Most introductory programmes consist of an evening talk which can be attended seperately, and a one- or two-day workshop.

An overview of the actual weekend programs available you find at News.
